Exclusive Copy of Jeb Bush Letter Praising Swift Liars
This letter was referenced in the New York Times on Sunday, May 28th, 2006. This is the first time a copy has been posted publicly.
Excerpt from the Times:Excerpt from Jeb Bush's letter:
"The president's brother, Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida, sent a letter thanking the "Swifties" for "their willingness to stand up to John Kerry."
"As someone who truly understands the risk of standing up for something, I simply cannot express in words how much I value their willingness to stand up against John Kerry."

Jeb Bush is an idiot and the whole family belongs on the street.
Ah, and this is the man who 43 thinks deserves to be 44.
Jeb's letter says "He [dubya] offered a clear vision for the future of our country."
Yep, it was clear all right. Clearly bad, even then, to anyone who was paying attention.
It's becoming clear to a lot more people now.
And his mother said... "Let them eat cake!"
Someone who never served himself. Not to mention his brother who avoided serving and went AWOL from a stateside National Guard post.
Does anybody out there know why Jeb Bush HAD to write a letter about ANYTHING?
Jeb's not (just?) stupid. He's a morally reprehensible scumbag. If he runs for higher office, there should be a concerted effort to get veterans educated about the utter disrespect the two Bush brothers (who both avoided military service) have for the mean they are all to willing to send to battle. Disgusting.
I really can't believe that there are
vets that are as stupid as these guys.
The only thing the bush'es have done for the veterans in put them in the street when their usefulness is used
up, take away benefits that are promised to all vets. Man, if you die on your way back to the states, you
are'nt even considered KIA. Wake up
veterans, these guys are taking you down if they can, and right now you are helping. Get the picture???
I noticed it's on the official Florida Governor's letterhead. Does that mean the tax payers of Florida payed for any of this?
"official Florida Governor's letterhead" - unfortunately, as an employee of the State of Florida, I am expressly not allowed to comment here about this matter.
Where did you get a copy of the letter. It looks somewhat shady. Is it it even real?
it doesn't matter if the florida tax payors paid for this. every member of the bush royal family are above the law. the rules don't apply to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
over at the weekly standoff fast freddie barnes of the idiotic smile and fox allsmear fame writes that jeb is the best damn governor in america!
further along in the news we find that florida is passing a law to allow folks to take their dogs into restaurants with them so i soon expect to run into jeb at denny's with ms. harris under the table eating his errrr....scraps...
I am a Vietnam veteran. I live in Florida. I am a father and grandfather, and I am gay. Jeb Bush is reprehensible (remember the Terri Schiavo fiasco?), and he is unworthy of the office he presently holds. I am a retired Florida state employee, and I resent the fact that Bush is our governor. He is not at all liked by most Floridians. I guess voter fraud occured in this election also.
The Swiftboat Liars are the scum of the earth. That the governor of Florida would send this letter of praise to them violates every principle I can imagine. Bush is a schemer and a liar. And, veterans know his history. You can bet veterans will do everything legally possible to put an end to his career. He sickens me.
it sas at the bottom: "not paid for by Sate of Florida funds"
don't get me wrong, he is a scumbag, just making sure we all know the facts.
Babs Bush stirred up a small hurricane when she said that she did not oppose abortion. Why the hell didn't she have a couple?
So the paper wasn't paid for by state funds. He still writes not as GWB's campaign manager but as Governor of all the people of the state.
In addition, he uses the state seal in the letterhead. I'll bet there are prohibitions on the use of the official seal of the state for partisan purposes. If not, there should be.
